What are the Banana Moon sustainable swimwear made of?

Earth Generation Collection, Recycled swimwear made from recycled fishing nets Earth Generation 100% Nylon ECONYL and a Sustainable Swimwear Collection in partnership with sensitive eco system to significantly reduce our environmental footprint.

Our goals and commitments

Our manufacturing process is committed to a promise of reducing CO2 emissions, as well as water and energy consumption. Moreover, the ultimate goal for us is to reduce the volume of our waste and, therefore, our environmental impact. Too much garbage and wastes is dumped into the ocean, causing immense damage to our biodiversity.

It is also very important for Banana Moon to respond to the needs of women who wish to make a commitment towards ethical and eco friendly consumption and behavior. With this sustainable swimwear collection, we wanted to remain faithful to our DNA and also send a strong message: the planet matters, ethical matters.

What kind of sustainable swimwear do we propose?

Our sustainable bathing suits are faithful to our initial DNA. You will find modern, qualitative and comfortable models. Indeed, our sustainable swimwear are made of one-piece and two-piece bikini swimsuits in different colors, shapes and patterns.

You can choose some solid colors models, such as some flower and shirred patterns. Who said that sustainability rhymes with outdated? Just the opposite! Our ethical and eco friendly sunscreen

In addition to our sustainable swimwear, we propose this year a brand new sunscreen! Our goal is to offer you quality and effective UVB (Ultraviolet B) and UVA (Ultraviolet A) protection, but not only. We wanted to allow you to protect the environment and protect yourself at the same time. And it’s done! In 2024, we can propose you an eco-friendly sunscreen which does not damage the ecosystem.

The new formulation of Banana Moon sunscreen includes ingredients that favor biodegradability and reduce aquatic toxicity. By the way, we’re proud to announce that the environmental profile of this formulation has passed the EcoSun Pass evaluation. We have obtained excellent results regarding our environmental impacts.

How to choose the most flattering sustainable swimsuit for your skin tone?

Let us share some quick recommendations to choose the perfect match for your skin tone! First of all, you will have to determine your skin undertone.

Your skin undertone is cool if:

• Your veins appear more blue than green under a natural light,
• You tend to burn, rather than tan in the sun,
• The palm of your hand looks slightly blue next to something stark white.

Your skin undertone is warm if:

• Your veins appear more green than blue under a natural light,
• You tend to tan, rather than burn in the sun,
• The palm of your hand looks slightly yellow next to something that is stark white.

Regarding the neutral undertone, it is a mix of cool and warm characteristics.

There are two simple rules: the color of your swimsuit should be in the same color family of your undertone and also, contrast your skin. For example, if you have a cool undertone, opt for a cool color. If your skin is light, choose a darker cool color like dark-mint or navy, for example. On the contrary, if your skin is darker, go for a cool color with a lighter shade, such as blue-suede, seafoam or turquoise.
